Response: If I had known what I know now, I would have balanced my first two years of college much better between extracurricular activities, college studies and building interpersonal skills. I am proud of the state at which I am in now, but I would have easily managed to learn another new language or computer program had I known what I know now.
Notes: Do not add philosophy to your answer. This answer should be short – showing that you WOULD change something and whatever state you are in right now is not that bad either. You should always demonstrate that you have not missed on something your need to be worried about. In above example, you are saying – ‘another’ language – as in – I already know what’s required, but I would have learned more.
Variations of this question:
- If you had the power to change one thing about your college education, what would that be?
- If you could do it all over again, what would you do different about your college education?
Trap alert: Never confess that you would have done an ‘entirely’ different course or stream of education.
